A huge thank you to the team at Helios Towers for hosting our latest face-to-face networking session last week. Over 40 of our members came together to learn about the business of HT and their strong Lean Six Sigma culture. We heard about how they are working to innovate their business by embedding and embracing digital throughout.
The warm welcome from Tom Greenwood and Allan Fairbairn CEng FIET set the tone for a positive and supportive day full of great presentations, fantastic questions and discussion.
Process Management International (PMI) were also on the agenda, the self confessed computer nerd Anthony Richardson had the audience in the palm of his hand with his clear and digestible presentation on Artificial Intelligence, giving us confidence to try things out in our every day work places.
During the day, Karen Leftley hosted the 30th Annual BQF Annual General Meeting live for the first time since COVID. With members face to face and dialling in, the stand out headline of the AGM was how the BQF continues to go from strength to strength, thanks to the engagement of all the members.
The day culminated on the 26 floor Roof Terrace, where conversations continued against the stunning backdrop of the capital city.
Early feedback includes “Just wanted to thank you for arranging this fantastic event! It was great to meet in person and also to network with the various attendees present.
The content (especially the piece on AI & automation) is very relevant to an activity I am currently working on and I am sure this learning will be of significant benefit to myself and my organisation”.
Thank you for all spending the day with us and we look forward to our next face-to-face session, which will be hosted by National Express LTD near Birmingham in October.
